At the start, the idea was to depict the planning of the producers in a model. For this purpose, the requirements that have to be met by this model were analysed in a first step. Based on this definition, a mathematical model was developed. Central functions of the optimisation are the calculations of the following parameters which are decisive for the management of the production:
The model should optimise the housing-in and housing-out data for each producer who is recorded in the system. In the process, it should be possible to specify target values for products, indicating the range of the result.
The ideal idle time between two rotations should be calculated and this can also be restricted by boundary parameters.
After the first successful tests, the model was extended to include various functions that enable use in practice. Particular attention was paid to ensuring that the proposed solution can be implemented without any major changes.
